Professional reccomendation letter about Mr. Edmund Schilvold

Dear Sirs,

I write you to inform you about my experience with Edmund Schilvold.

I met Edmund during a university course we were both attending in Sydney, Australia.

Since when we became friends, we realised to share the common interest towards exploration and outdoor activities. We went to several different destinations. In each case Edmund was showing very good capacities in leading a small group of friends through the nature.

He demonstrated to be skilled in planning the excursions, giving suggestions to make them even more interesting. We had the chance to travel through Australia, then we went to Norway three times and to Italy two times. Also we organised a long tour through some of the USA National parks such as Yellowstone, Glacier, Teton, Bryce, Zion, Rocky mountains and others. In all these occasions he showed great knowledge of animals’ diversities and their types of lives. He was feeling comfortable sleeping outdoor in a tent or on a shore, being able to control the situation, putting all participants in a non-risky situation. He is also a good hiker, and he involved some friends in several days non-stop long walks.

Among the years Edmund has consolidated his abilities. He also added the passion for photography and for this reason he was always having his professional equipment with him. Thanks to some of these excursions, he managed to also publish some books related to nature and the environment. In that occasion he felt the desire to also write in English, a language he knows very well.

I highly reccomend Edmund as a person able to take people outdoor. He has a particular feeling with places where the human activity is not visible.

I keep very nice memories of the excursions done with him.
